What happens at the Meet & Greet?
I like to take a look at everything I will be responsible for. This includes meeting the furry friends, seeing their food and dish locations, medical concerns & medication instructions, where to put scooped litter or poop bags, going over your pet’s usual routine, and any other details concerning your visits.
Why do you ask for a physical copy of the Meet & Greet information?
Meet & Greets often occur well in advance of bookings, or are distant from a past booking. Having a physical copy of this (and your vet information!) makes sure I can double check your care instructions anytime I visit. This document is also helpful in case of your own emergencies and I recommend adding a copy to any emergency preparedness kits or bags you have.
Why do you ask about any in-home cameras or recording devices?
Iowa is a one party consent state for recording. Legally, you are not obligated to disclose any cameras or devices. I ask because I like to know if are rooms you'd prefer I interact with your pets in, or if there are cameras in places I would be uncomfortable with - such as a guest bedroom.
Can I ask for help with watering plants, taking out the trash or bringing in packages?
Of course! No need to worry about an up charge either!
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel a visit, calling will work the best. Services cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled service are subject to a 50% charge.
What if my trip runs long or my flight is delayed?
Please keep in contact with me and I'll make sure your pets are covered!
Friends, neighbors, cleaners, etc. will be in my home while I’m away - should I let you know?
Yes, please let us know if someone will be in the house during the visits. Running into an unexpected stranger makes my heart skip a beat!
Do you offer service pet sitting over the holidays?
Yes, I offer service on all holidays. Please note, major holidays such as the 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas book quickly. It is best to schedule your holiday visits in advance.
